Happy Saturday!
Finally received some good news last night, so as I tell my students " I am a happy camper". Looking forward to enjoying this Mother's Day weekend with my hubby and making a bunch of thank you cards for my students. They were so thoughtful last week for Teacher Appreciation week. Friday was Spa/Pamper Day and I sure needed the stress relief lotion, Burt's Bees lip gloss, and lovely smelling soaps. The Bath and Body Works gift card will go to good use too getting all the new summer fragrances.
We took a "Getting Ready for Grade 6" math test yesterday and my students wanted to know when I was going to grade it. I told them at night or early Saturday morning. They were the cutest telling me that I should not be waking up early on the weekends (they know I am an early bird). Made my heart happy knowing they cared (even though they really just wanted to know their grade).
Today's project...
A co-worker asked me to make an 80's theme birthday card. First thought...music. The 80's was known for boomboxes, big hair metal bands, Madonna, Flashdance, roller skating, and Thriller. I knew this radio would be safe for a masculine card.
The radio is from Miss Kate Cuttables and it is part of a bundle called I Heart The 80's. After taking the picture I did add a few more elements. I personalized it with the recipient's name, added a floating music note in the upper right corner, and placed two black gems on the antennae. It looked sharp.
Hope you enjoy your weekend. We may go pick peaches, moves some of my classroom to a storage unit, go out for lunch, watch a movie...who knows...just enjoy our time together!
Stay Creative,
Georgiana
