Up, Up, and Away with Miss Kates Cuttables' New Challenge

Hello Miss Kate Cuttables Fans,

The new challenge at Miss Kate Cuttables starts tonight, and remember there is a free file every day! Hopefully you will be able to join us during the next two weeks with your own creation.

This Month's Challenge...
~ Red, White, and Blue ~

Here is my Design Team project...
First, I created the cloud background using the MFT cloud stencil and Stormy Sky distress ink. Then I cut the Miss Kate Cuttables Patriotic hot air balloon file with my Cameo. Finally, the Jaded Blossom stamped sentiment from the Up, Up, and Away set was added.
Other Challenges:
Cut It Up ~ Patriotic
Jo's Scrap Shack ~ Anything Goes
Seize the Birthday ~ Red, White, and You

Hope you will join us at Miss Kate Cuttables for the "Red, White, and Blue" challenge. The other design team members were quite patriotic this month! Be sure to check out ALL the variety!

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

  1. Your card is so pretty! That background is perfect. That is a color of distress inks that I don't have. I should look into getting it because it is the perfect sky color!

  6. Hi Georgiana, I left you a reply to your question on my IndigoBlu post, but sometimes the replies don't ping the authors, so I wanted to respond directly. When you pat your ink pad onto the craft mat and spritz with water you can then "dip" your paper into the puddled ink. With Distress Oxides, I dip into one color at a time to avoid contamination of my pads. I dry each layer with my heat tool before dipping in the next color. I hope this makes sense. I'm sure you can Google a video too to explain further. Happy stamping!
