July's Sketch at Die Cuttin' Diva

Happy Independence Day to my U.S. Friends!
Happy Diva Tuesday to Everyone!

This Week's Challenge...
~ July's Sketch ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I bought this bicycle die on Amazon after I heard numerous crafty friends say they had good experiences with the less expensive dies. I decided to give it a try. I bought this one for less than $4.00 and it was shipped from China. The quality is fine, but the delivery was quite slow. It took at least a month  from the time I ordered to the time it arrived in my mailbox. I feel that is way too long considering all the advancements we have with the mail system.

Although it took a while to arrive, I still like the image (especially since I enjoy riding my bike).  First, I cut the bicycle die with my Cuttlebug. It cut through the paper smoothly with no difficulties.  I cut the MFT stitched oval scallop edge frame next and then selected the pattern papers by Paper Studio. This sketch is so versatile you have TONS of options! The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Sweet Birthday Wishes set. I added some pink pearls to the center of the flowers to tie in the pink card stock.
I hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "July's Sketchchallenge. Be sure to check out the other design team projects.

If you are celebrating the 4th, enjoy your festivities!
Stay Creative,
Georgiana

  1. Love the bike, and yes a month is way too long in my thoughts. Of course, I have no self control and stalk my mailbox every time I am expecting happy mail!

  4. That is a great die! I might have to try some of those on Amazon. Love the card, the papers you used are perfect. We could not see the fireworks from our house but we walked down the street to the little park in our neighborhood and we sat on the hill with all the neighbors and had a perfect view. It was really fun. Then we went home and lit the fire pit and made s'mores. Too bad we had to go back to work on Wednesday!
