Hello Crafty Friends,
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate the kind words and wonderful comments that have been shared recently. I've been thinking about doing a variety of projects (more than cards) and using different products after visiting many other creative blogs, so today begins exploration time. I went to Michaels this morning and bought some watercolor pencils. I am looking for a few markers next...need to find out what would be good for a beginner...Rangers, Spectrum...Any suggestions? Then I need to search what else is popular right now. I finally have time to try more! Don't worry Karen...I have the stencils on the top of my list!
Today, I am sharing this tag I made for the Jaded Blossom Summer Challenge.
The tag was cut on my Cameo...it measures about 5" x 3".
BBQ spatula and fork for summer grilling
BBQ svg set is from Miss Kate Cuttables
I went through my Jaded Blossom stamps and found this one as part of the Knight Bites set (these stamps are extremely versatile). It's still available in the store.
Other Materials:
white, silver, black, red, and grey card stock
pattern paper (DCWV and Paper Studio)
red tulle
black ribbon
black pearls
Versafine Onyx Black ink
Time to play with my stencil and these watercolor pencils, but not necessary together! Then off to visit some more crafty friends to see what else they have shared.
Stay Creative,
Georgiana

ReplyDeleteI am curious to hear what you think of the water coloring pencils. I have spectrum and copics and like them both when I use them. I would like to dabble a bit more into water coloring so let me know what you think of the pencils: )
Have a great day!

Love it!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a smokin' hot card! I love the netting ribbon paired with the seam binding--too fun for this. Great patterned papers too. That coal almost looks too hot to touch.
ReplyDeleteAs for markers it depends what you want to do with them. Water based markers you can color stamps and stamp with them or stamp and then mist for a water colored look. Spectrum and Copic and alcohol based and color and blend real nice without streaking. The Distress markers are very intense colors. Mostly I see people using them to water color with (scribble a bit of color onto a palette and use a water brush).
Fabulous, love the detail!
