Matching Gift Card Set

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Today begins a new challenge at Exploring Cricut and I have this wonderful set to share that I made for my husband's sister and nieces. Since we do not celebrate the holidays with them, we usually get them a gift card which is nice and easy to mail. Instead of mailing the gift card in the envelop the store provides, I thought it would be more festive to create a holder.

Challenge...
It's a Wonderful Time of Year

Here is my Exploring Cricut project...
The card is for my sister-in-law. I used The Sweet Stop sketch (shown below). The gift cards will fit nicely inside. That was one of my husband's requirements...no boxes to mail!

I used the teabag cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More 2. I cut each holder at 4 1/4". This was the first time I used this cartridge (I even had to open cut open the shellcase.).
There sure are a lot of neat boxes on this cartridge. My daughter wants me to make her a milkbox. She is spending a couple days with the grandparents, so I am going to surprise her by having one ready when she gets back. : )
Materials:
Recollections Holiday Day Wishes paper (love the colors!)
brown, cream, and green card stock
Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge ~ tag (p. 69) cut at 3 1/4" - 3 3/4" and 2" - 2 1/2"
Simple Charmed Cricut cartridge ~ ornament (p. 62) cut at 2"
Tags, Bags...2 Cricut cartridge ~ tea bags (p. 30) cut at 4 1/4"
All Mixed Up Cricut cartridge ~ To (p. 130) cut at 1/2"
red and brown ribbons
red and green gems
Cheers stamp
Barn Door red Distress ink by Tim Holtz

Other Challenges:

Be sure to stop by Exploring Cricut today to see all the other projects. I hope you have the opportunity to join us for this challenge before the new year. There is a fabulous prize available too!

One final message...my e-mail service provider has been unavailable since Friday (I know! I am going thru withdrawal not being able to check!). If you have sent a message to me and I have not responded, please be patient! I am trying to be! All e-mails will be forwarded once Cox has fixed the problem, but at this time it could be a few more days. UUUGH!

Happy Holidays,
Georgiana
