Come Home Soon

 Hello Crafty Friends,

So glad you stopped by again. I am setting a goal to craft everyday for one hour and do less school work while I am at home. Wish me luck!

There is a new challenge at Exploring Cricut today.
The Challenge:  Transportation

Here is my Exploring Cricut project...
I think this old fashion bicycle is neat looking, but I am not sure how comfortable it was. It looks like you need a ladder to get on the seat.
I sure do miss my son when he is away at college and this sentiment is meant for him, but I surely do not want him to ride his bike home. It is a 2 hour car ride, so I can't imagine how long it would take on a bike (especially one like this).

I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch (challenge is already closed).
Materials:
Glitz Design paper ~ Happy Travels Stripes and World
My Mind's Eye teal paper
white card stock
Heritage Cricut cartridge ~ bike1 (p. 49) cut at 2"
Desitnations Cricut cartridge ~ ovals cut at 2 1/2 - 2 1/4"
brown ribbon
brown buttons
teal gems
Spellbinders ~ Beaded Ovals
My Pink Stamper ~ Itty Bitty-licious stamp
brown ink

Hope you will join the Exploring Cricut challenge this week.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

  4. Georgiana ~ very PRETTY card but yet has the masculine touch! LOVE the bike! I need to this bike in the book ~ I LIKE it! Thank goodness I have this cartridge! Well I wouldn't want to see your son bike from college either! Yikes! I think it is a PERFECT card for him! The sentiment says it all! I dread the day mine is off to college! Too sad!

  5. What a sweet card Georgiana. I love that you send cards to your son while he's away. It's SO hard when they go off to college. I think I cried every day for a week when my daughter moved into the dorms years ago. And she was only an hour away!

  9. Beautiful card! I love the layout and the color combo - gives such a vintage feel. This is a great card for your son and I know how you feel. My "boys" are too far away from home to suit me...but...they do grow up...sigh.
