Good Morning Crafty Friends,
Today is my Exploring Cricut Design Team day. I decided to create a layout rather than a card and I used some pictures I had printed out about two - three weeks ago. Do you have tons of pictures saved on your computer and never do anything with them? Well...that is me! I decided it is time to start selecting, printing, creating, and sharing. The family seems to enjoy them too, especially sinced they don't have to do any of the work! :)
Happy Trails at Southern Cross Horse Ranch in Georgia.
Many years ago we found this "dude ranch" and have been back about 3 or 4 times. We like it because you get to ride twice a day for 2 hours at a time anywhere on the ranch. You can either ride on the trails or in the pasture. You can ride with a guide or without.
Materials:
12x12 green card stock
pattern paper ~ light brown and blue plaid
brown card stock
brown ink
Old West Cricut cartridge (love the rope font)
I am hoping to continue working on some more layouts. I like that you have a larger space to work with than a card. Now I want to get creative with a sketch and design of the layout. I have seen some challenges, but if you can recommend some I would appreciate it!
Be sure to stop by Exploring Cricut on Monday for the new challenge. I have to tell you...I had fun with the challenge and I couldn't stop singing M-i-c...(hint, hint, hint). Come join the fun on Monday.
Stay Creative,
Georgiana
Love this layout! It looks like this is a super fun thing to dO with your family! And your right, I'm in the SAME boat! I haven't done a layout since National Scrapbooking Day! Lol!
ReplyDeleteGreat LO...great pics too. I immediately print my pics and they go into my albums. I only scrapbook family trips, the kids santa pic, their Halloween pic and their school pics. I also burn my pics to a cd. That way if my computer hard drive goes...I don't lose anything important. Lee-Ann :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT LO Georgiana!!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to answer your sewing question...I do not have a problem with my paper snagging. I tape it down in the center, being careful not to get the tape any where near where I will be sewing. It seems to do the trick. Have your daughter give that a try. Maybe also have her lessen the tension on the thread also. Hope that helps.
Have a GREAT weekend!!
Love this layout! Your pictures just pop right off the page! {hugs}
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome LO. Sounds like a lot of fun to be able to ride a horse for 2 hrs at a time.. Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteGeorgiana ~ well if these layouts are FABULOUS! I LOVE that cartridge that you used! It works PERFECTLY for these pictures! Sounds like you all have a GREAT time everytime you go too! As for layouts and room ~ I need tons of room when I do one! I seem to use the table, the floor and a chair! So my ideas are not good at all!
