Good Morning Crafty Friends,
It is going to be a great day. I have some wonderful news to share with you. I am joining the Exploring Cricut Design Team. I certainly love using my Cricut and have a difficult time creating without, so this team allows me to make all the projects I want and supports my addiction.
Today's project was created with my son in mind. He is finishing up his Eagle Scout's requirements for his Boy Scout Troop 113. He built a picnic area at a community elementary school...picinic tables from scratch, mulched area, and planted flowers for beautification. Lots of work, but he was able to get it accomplished.
Here is my project...
Materials:
Campin' Critters cartridge ~ base (4 3/4"), top layer (4 1/2"), eagle p. 42 (3")
Plantin Schooolbook cartridge ~ 113 cut at 1/2"
blue, brown, red, white, and green card stock
Steps...
I cut out all the pieces and worked in an assembly format to create 11 "Thank You" cards. I sure hope that is enough to get started. If not, I saved all my measurements so I can create a few more.
Well, with good news come sad news. This will be my last Design Team project for Made Especially for You with Ashley. My 3 month term is up and now it is time to give someone else the opportunity.
This Week's Challenge...
Here is my Design Team project...
Materials:
Preserves cartridge ~ kiwi (p 44) cut at 3"
blue, brown, green, yellow, and grey cardstock
yellow brads

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and your son. Eagle Scout is a great accomplishment. My nephew was an Eagle Scout and it was recognized as special when he was going into the Navy. You both should be very proud (Iknow you are.)

Congratulations on your new DT spot, Georgiana!! What an amazing accomplishment for your son!! And your project looks like a patch they would have on their uniform...so awesome!! And I just love the embossing on the second card, and the pretty colors!!
ReplyDeleteRegarding your question, I have the hardest time mailing dimensional cards. I go through many padded envelopes!! If there is a lot of dimension, like flowers, I either use a small box or lots of padding in the envelope. It adds extra postage, but I can't seem to help myself when I'm adding all the dimension!! I also make sure at the post office that they stamp envelopes so that they don't go through the machines...that's extra postage, too, unfortunately. If I know it will be mailed, I do try to tone down my fetish for foam tape and flowers :)
Have a great day,

your question regarding welding..I would check MCT tutorials as she show's a lot of welding directions. She is easy to follow..or google welding with gypsy. It really isn't hard-I wish you lived closer..I could show you. Good luck and if I can help you somehow, let me know!
