Good Morning!
It's Thursday, which means a new challenge at the Creative Cutter Room. This week's challenge brings a card, but also a tip I learned. It sure is helpful when to get a suggestion before finding out the hard way. It sure does help save paper sometimes too. : )
As I browse thru my crafty friend's sites on a regular basis and see all the amazing shape cards, I do get a bit envious. I typically stick with my rectangular shape card base. For some reason, I just love the straight lines. For this challenge I wanted to use Elegant Edges (that would mean I would need to use my Gypsy to weld and that doesn't happen...not yet!) or Birthday Bash since the shapes are already done. Instead, I chose something completely...different (maybe even a little odd).
I went with this MONSTER CAT. It took me some time to get use to looking at him, but he has finally grown on me.
Here is my tip...use heavy duty card stock to cut the body. Mine is a bit flimsy and he looks like a bobble head. Learning lesson there!

You gave me a good laugh at work today, G while I was having lunch! You couldn't just go with a simple circle shape card?!? Your monster cat is monster-iffic! Very cute. But your story was hilarious! Oh, on my kitty card, I didn't hide the bird on the stamp; I just didn't ink that part. It was large enough that I was able to ink all around it.--pat

Your kitty is so precious, oh but you say he's a monster so I hope I can leave with all my fingers intact. I didn't realize that was a shaped card at first. That really rocks! I'm with you, I'm not really into shapes myself. This one is too cute though!
