My daughter and I went to our local scrapbook store today for a free Make and Take event they were having. We made two different projects.
- Folded Gift Box
- Treat Bag
The first one we made was the scalloped tag and box. The box is made from a piece of 12 X 12 cardstock. There was no glue or tape required...just folding. Since I love to make foldables at school with the students, this was a great project. I am going to try and make another one on my own and see if I can get the same results. I was thinking it would be perfect for Valentine's Day too (or any other holiday/season depending on the paper you choose).
The other project was the Treat Bag. I have made them before, but the products were different. The stamps were by My Favorite Things. The snowflakes were cut from felt and transparencies. The ribbon is a little thicker than I usually use, but it worked well.
My daughter and I had fun and the demonstrators were happy to see a 12 year old crafting with her mom. Now if she would only finish her Science project presentation board!
Happy Holidays,
Georgiana

ReplyDeleteWhat a great mother/daughter activity!! I love it when my children craft with me - but we've never taken a class together (except when I've gone with them to a kids' class). I'm so glad the two of you had such fun! I hope her project got finished too!!
