M is for...Memories, Mother, Maryanne
My mother recently passed away at the age of 54. It was very unexpected and I haven't told anyone (except immediate family) until now. Perhaps it will make it easier when I go back to school on Monday.
Today I decided to work on a page to help remember my mom. I know it isn't much yet, but it will definitely help me to work on this project everyday until I am happy with the results. I still need to add some colorful butterflies, ribbon or gems.
I am going to put the page in a black shadow box once I am finished.
Please enjoy your family time. Life is too short!
Take Care,
Georgiana

So sorry, this time of year can be so much more difficult. I have been contemplating about posting about my Dad who passed 1-2-00, and you have inspired me to do the same. I pray for you to stay strong! Carri

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. Scrapbooking is such a great way to remember all the wonderful times we share with the people we love. I hope you were able to smile while putting your page together and reflect on the happy times you shared. I think it is a great idea to display it in a shadow box and your layout is lovely.

ReplyDeleteThank you for all the thoughts and prayers. I truly appreciate it. I have been contemplating on how to deal with the loss of someone very young. Should you share or keep it a secret? I am not sure there is a right answer, but I am now glad that I have shared. Each of you have helped me tremendously! Thank you again!
ReplyDeleteLive like there is no tomorrow! Enjoy your family (through the good and the bad) because they are the only one you have!

Oh Georgiana, I am so very sorry to read your news. Your tribute to your mother is just gorgeous and such a treasure. Please know that I will be praying for you - and especially tomorrow as you go back to "normal" life (which is now forever different). Just let your heart guide you. If you need to talk, talk. If you need to keep silent then others will respect that too. My father died too young and it's tough. It just doesn't seem fair somehow. My heart goes out to you, Georgiana. Kate xox
