Happy 4th of July to my American crafty friends and "Hello" to all my other crafty friends. I found a little time today to create a card before having to make some homemade potato salad. I know tonight we will be up late listening to all the neighbor's firecrackers. They actually started last night and they will last for a few days until they run out. Of course, if I can't sleep that gives me more crafting time. ;)
I tried a new corner punch that I thought was pretty neat and very patriotic.
I used the Independence Day cartridge to cut the hat at 3". The stars are from the strip on the hat. 1776 was cut at 1/2". The decorative paper is Americana by K&Company and the card base is kraft paper along with the hat.
I used foam squares to adhere the top layer, so you could see the punch better.
This photo was enhanced to brighten up the colors. Very nice; I like that hat. Haven't seen the Independence Day cart in stores; you're lucky to have it. It seems to have some good cuts on it. I bought that punch too at Joann's on clearance! Can't beat it with 3 different punches on it! Happy 4th! (back to work for me tomorrow after the nice 3-day weekend)--Pat
