Precious Little Baby Elephant

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have seriously been trying to establish a routine, but I am still have a difficult time getting it all done. I decided to cut out my 5 mile morning bike rides and just walk the dog, so I could get some friendly comments done (I have seen such neat projects during the past couple of days.).  I have written down a bunch of challenges from the past couple of days and I am looking forward to completing a couple orders. I have a few thank you cards I want to make for students. Now I need to schedule some daily craft time. I know I can do it!

Yesterday, I worked on this elephant baby card for a co-worker. It seems to be baby season! The elephant is from KaDoodle Bug Designs ~ Cutesy Zoo Animals file.

I used the following sketch from Paper Play Sketches. Super fun layout!

I added polka dot ears, over-sized wiggly eyes, and pink sequins to my elephant.

Grey crinkle ribbon and a tiny tag/sentiment by My Craft Spot finish off the lower half.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Lemon Peppermints Sure are Sweet

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by. Today I am fortunate to be sharing my third project as the September Guest Designer for Trendy Twine. The Lemon Peppermint sure has been an awesome color combination...a little sweetness with a touch of spice.  Which do you prefer? Me? I am all about the lemons!

Since this month's theme is "Designer's Choice" I have been having fun (along with ALL the other Trendy Twine designers) showcasing a variety of ways you can use the twine.

I created a 3D window treat box with my Cameo.  The window has been covered with a piece of clear acetate and Lemonhead candies are sealed in a 3 x 4 zipped baggie. The scalloped top is  tied closed with yellow satin ribbon and then topped with a red button and a Trendy Twine bow. Sweet was cut in yellow and white card stock.

The MFT Gerber Daisies were cut with my Cuttlebug and the center of each flower consist of Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine swirled around into circles. A little bit of liquid glue holds them in place nicely.

We are Mint to Be at Trendy Twine

Hello Everyone,

I am sharing my second project as the September Guest Designer for Trendy Twine. I have enjoyed using this month's fabulous twine...Lemon Peppermint. What an awesome color combination!

The assigned theme is Designer's Choice, which means we can create anything! Last week I said I was going to use the peppermint portion of the twine since I already used the lemon, and I did!

First, I covered the white lid with you two layers of cardstock (I used the Picot Edge Circle Spellbinder die) and I weaved the twine all the way around. Red gems were added in between. The stamped sentiment is by My Favorite Things ~ Candy Jar Companion stamp set.

I used my bow maker to create a triple loop bow.

I wrapped/adhered the twine all the way around the lid using adhesive tape.

September Challenge at Miss Kate Cuttables

Hello Everyone,

The new challenge at Miss Kate Cuttables starts today, and remember there is a free file every day! Hopefully you will be able to join us during the next two weeks with your own creation.

This Month's Challenge is...
Travel

Here is my Design Team project...
My daughter likes to receive mail while she is at college; therefore, I made her a care package with a few surprises. I created a postcard using a Miss Kate Cuttables file and now I can write her a personal note. I didn't want the back side to be blank, so I added another MKC travel file.

You can use any color combination for your postcard.

Choose any design for the back so it isn't blank.

Hope you will join us at Miss Kate Cuttables for the "Travel" challenge. The other design team members are definitely ready to go traveling around the world.  Be sure to check out ALL the variety!

Thanks for stopping by!

September's Trendy Twine Guest Designer

Hello Everyone,

I am sharing my first project as the September Guest Designer for Trendy Twine. I am THRILLED to have this opportunity to showcase this month's fabulous twine...Lemon Peppermint. What an awesome color combination!

The assigned theme is Designer's Choice, which means the possibilities are endless! I decided to use the lemon portion of the twine... next time I'll go with the peppermint.

I created a tag for my  Bath and Body Works Lemon scented shower gel. The cute lemon should make your lips curl up into a smile.

I used the Lemon Peppermint Trendy Twine for the little lemon's bows and to add a pop of color to the lid's bow.
