Valentine Lollipop Cover

Welcome Back Crafty Friends,

Today is my day to post at 3 Girl JAM.

Valentine's Day is approaching quickly and since time just flies by I wanted to start thinking about my students rather than procrastinate (I have the tendency to do that!). I have 24 students, so I want to be able to make something quick and easy but still be cutesy. I think I found the perfect treat! You will have to tell me what YOU think.

Here is my Design Team project...
I found this lollipop cover from My Scrap Chick that the students should enjoy.

Ribbon Candy Pink crinkle ribbon from the 3 Girl JAM shop. I added a heart button and cream craft thread.

One wasn't enough, so I made another. This file is definitely easy and making 22 more will be a breeze!

I used Cherry Tootsie Pops to keep with the Valentine color scheme.

This stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Valentine Treats stamp set. I think it matches the lollipop perfectly, but would you be upset if your 10 year old brought it home? I know some parents are very particular about language, but I also know some families have limited filters. I would like to know someone else's perspective. Is it okay to give to students or  surprise a couple co-workers instead?
Other Materials:
pattern papers from scrap box
cream card stock
pink ink

Hope you will join us at 3 Girl JAM with your newest "Anything Goes with Ribbon" project. There is still plenty of time to participate.

Anything Goes with Ribbon
January 3rd - January 30th
Prize ~ $15 gift certificate to 3 Girl JAM shop

Let Me You Cheer Up at Die Cuttin' Divas

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thank you for stopping by.
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas

This Week's Challenge...Cheer Up
Do you know someone feeling blue? What about someone that needs a little encouragement? This challenge is perfect for that person that needs to know you are thinking of them. You can make a card, a gift basket, or a tag for a special treat.

Here is my Design Team project...
I do not have anyone in mind at the moment for this card, but I am glad I will have one available to give to a co-worker if and when needed.

I stamped this Floral Ovals Spellbinders with a sentiment from My Craft Spot ~ Chalkboard Sentiments set.  I used Gingerbread VersaMagic ink and added these matching handmade enamel dots I received from my crafty friend, Carri. An oversized bow in my daughter's favorite color, Tiffany Blue, and a brad finished off the front.

The inside coordinates with the front, but is intentionally left blank for a personal message.
Other Materials:
white and tan card stock
kraft card base with envelope
My Mind's Eye pattern papers

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Cheer Up" challenge. The other design team members have made awesome projects, so be sure to check them out.

Hope you will join our challenge this week!

Bursting with Thanks

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have been at home all day enjoying the day off, but thinking about what I need to do to be ready to go back to school tomorrow. In a little while I am going to review my lessons, update my class web page, and then go to the store to get some healthy snacks for the week. It sure was nice having a three day weekend.

My son asked me to make a thank you card for his girlfriend's parents. I have never met them, so I am not really sure what their style is. I decided to make a sunburst card with bright, cheerful colors.

I used a variety of My Mind' Eye patterns for the alternating strips. This sunburst technique is a great way to use scraps! I added creamy ruffled ribbon and the scalloped circle (My Craft Spot) is adhered with foam squares for dimension.

I think the sunburst technique puts a smile on your face...at least it does for me. : )
Other Materials:
cream card stock
Fiskars stamp ~ Thank You set
Versafine Black Onyx ink

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the new Die Cuttin' Diva challenge.

Have a great night!

Winter Related Challenge at KaDoodle Bug

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's a three day weekend...Yah! Today we took a day trip to Orlando and then when we returned home we made our Spring Break plans...a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean...super excited! I LOVE cruises and we are visiting a couple ports that we have never been to.

I'd like to share a card I made for the KaDoodle Bug Designs FB Challenge. The theme is Anything Winter Related.

I used the Fun in the Sun file for the bear...inked the edges with a soft purple. The stamp card base was cut from the Birthday Base Cricut cartridge.

The stamped sentiment is from My Craft Spot ~ Tiny Tags 3.
Other Materials:
white, black, pink, and purple cardstock
K&Company pattern paper
purple crinkle ribbon
wiggly eyes
tiny purple pearls

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Silver and Blue Photo Inspiration at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends!

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva challenge. We are now on the second challenge of 2015 and I sure hope you have the opportunity to join us each week.

This Week's Challenge...
Photo Inspiration

Here is my Design Team project...
A shaped card for any occasion

I used my bow maker to create the triple loops, but I placed the dowel rods slightly further apart to get the look I desired.

I wanted to make awesome clear snowflakes, but I didn't have any vellum paper. Time to improvise! I usually use wax paper when I cut intricate Spellbinders so the cardstock does not stick and the wax paper was perfect for what I imagined.

Miss Kate Cuttables Winter Bird. I cut the svg file on my Cameo, added Silver sparkle to the hat, and inked some of the edges.
Other Materials:
blue, white, and orange cardstock
pattern paper by DCWV ~ Winter Stack
silver snowflake ~ Martha Stewart
blue ink

Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Silver and Blue Photo Inspiration" challenge. The other design team members have made fantastic projects, so be sure to check them out.

Hope you will join our challenge this week!

What's New...the World and a Hero

Hello Crafty Friends,

I just finished these two cards that I started last night and wanted to share right away. I bought a few new items from Amazon as New Year gifts to myself and was looking forward to using them (waiting for the mail was the hardest part). I have been admiring stitched dies for quite some time on so many different projects. Luckily, I found a circle set for a really good price. Oooh...I sure do like them! I now need to add the rectangle stitched set (it was sold out at Christmas, but I think it is finally back in stock).

Here is my set of cards...

I used the Tuesday Morning Sketches layout for both cards.

I used two pattern papers (Me & My Big Idea) from my scrap box, two new products (Die-namics circle stitched die and We R Memory Keeper banner die), two different die-cuts (the globe is Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon and the robot is Too Cute by Jessica), and two sentiments (World is computer generated and Hero is Jaded Blossom).

I added Denim Skittles by Carri to each card on the far right side.
Other Materials:
blue, green, black, orange, and white card stock
Versafine Black Onyx ink

Challenges:

Hope you have a fabulous week!

Isn't this a sweet bear?

This bear is from Silhouette On-line store, but I altered it slightly by adding the present (cut from Birthday Cakes Cricut cartridge).

Twilight Skittles by Carri...easy to adhere and lightweight. Be sure to check out Carri's store for all the different colors.
Other Materials:
purple, brown, red, and white card stock
pattern papers from scrap box
purple ink by Colorbox
Happy Birthday stamp by My Pink Stamper
