Having Winter Fun at Die Cuttin Divas

Welcome Back Crafty Friends,

Today brings a new challenge at Die Cuttin' Diva and I sure hope we have as many wonderful entries as we did for the penguin's challenge.

This Week's Challenge...Winter Fun
Most of the United States and Canada have been experiencing a Polar Vortex and another freeze is heading our way. Even here in Florida we have had some extremely cold days during the month. They were originally predicting snow for Wednesday night, but that may change to sleet. I don't think they will be cancelling snow for us, but...

This sled will be fun for a snow day that many places are having.
Other Materials:
silver, white, and brown card stock
Recollections paper ~ Christmas stack
Winter Critter brads from Eyelet Outlet
silver gems
silver ribbon
Whimsical Designs stamp
black ink

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week.

Georgiana

Fantabulous Guest Spotlight and New Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends (and Cricut Users),

Today I am a Guest Designer at Fantabulous Cricut. What a great honor to be asked to share your creativity with others. Yesterday I was featured in the Sunday Spotlight, today I get to share the new challenge, and next week I will be in a final inspirational Cricut post.

This week's challenge....
3 Pattern Papers
That is SUPER easy for me! I love to layer paper!
I made a set of personalized baby cards for a co-worker.
This first card is for a new baby boy and I used 3 Birds on Parade for the darling little chick.
I added Aqua Splash crinkle ribbon by 3 Girl JAM, a handmade stick pin that I created, yellow skittles by Carri, and his name.

I typed his name on my computer at 12 font (Lucinda Calligraphy) and used a 1 inch circle punch so it would be centered.

This second personalized card is for the big brother.
Other Materials:
SEI paper ~ Chick-a-doo assortment pack
teal and white card stock
Lacey Circle Spellbinders
teal gems
wiggly eyes

Hope you will join us at Fantabulous Cricut for this week's challenge...
Use 3 pattern papers.

Valentine Hand Gel Containers

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today should be a super Saturday...laundry is already half done, I have just a few paper to grade, and I am looking forward to working on lots of card orders. Not only have I been creating cards, but I have expanded with these cute little gifts.

After making the "Thank You" hand gel containers a couple weeks ago, I decided to create some more as Valentine gifts. They seem to be a BIG hit. Thanks again Jessica! She shared the file that made it possible. If you e-mail her directly she will share with you too!
I primarily chose pink, red, and purple hand gels so they would coordinate with the Valentine papers.
Each container has a tag, which was cut from Plantin Schoolbook at 2 1/2" and a heart (cut from same cartridge). The tag is stamped with "Happy Valentine's Day" in pink ink. The stamp is a $1 wooden stamp that I purchased at Michaels a couple years ago.

I plan on making more this weekend since I have a coupon for $10 off if you purchase $30 at Bath and Body Works. Can't pass up a good deal!

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

Georgiana

Owl-ways! at 3 Girl JAM

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another 3 Girl JAM creation.

Today I am sharing a shaped card with this fun owl from Hoot 'n' Holler. I have been searching my Cricut carts and finding a variety of shapes for the bases. They sure are fun compared to the typical rectangle.
I used Aqua Splash ribbon from the Caribbean Splash Bundle for Oriel the Owl's bow. Then a little more of the bunched ribbon across the bottom. A few orange and aqua buttons with coordinating craft thread.
Other Materials:
pattern papers unknown
orange, black, and white card stock
Sentimentals Cricut cartridge ~ card base (p. 35) cut at 4 3/4"; layers cut at 4 1/2" and 4 1/4"
Hoot 'n' Holler ~ owl#17 cut at 3 1/2"
orange and teal buttons
orange and teal craft thread
My Pink Stamper stamp
black ink

Do you need to order some crinkle ribbon? LOTS of colors to choose from and there are some on sale too. Be sure to use my code GC10 for a 10% discount.
Caribbean Splash Bundle ~$4.97 ~ 4 yds of each color

You still have time for the current challenge. Be sure to join us!

I Love Hot Air Balloons

Hello Crafty Friends,
Thanks for stopping by. Went shopping this morning as planned, but didn't get too much (a new Cricut cartridge, some beads, and stick pins). I actually do not need anything and should use what I have, but I did see new paper and embellishments on display. Chalk Studio by MME looks fabulous!

This hot air balloon was a freebie at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. Lisa sure has wonderful files and they are SUPER easy to use.

Although I have never been in a hot air balloon before, I love the idea of peacefully floating through the clouds looking down at the land. Not quite sure if I would enjoy the ride since I don't care for heights when I am not strapped into a seat. Just the thought seems lovely!
Inside of card coordinates with outside.
Pink swirling gems, white faux stitching, inking around the edges, and a loving sentiment finish off the front of the shape card.

Other Materials:
pink, brown, and white cardstock
pink swirling gems
K. Andrews stamp
pink ink
white gel pen
Creative Cards Cricut cartridge ~ base cut at 4 1/2"

Challenges:

Hope you find some crafting time!
My goal...finish a few projects on my table. I completed one this afternoon and have about three more I'd like to get done tonight.

Lamb is Cute As A Button at Die Cuttin' Diva

Welcome back and thank you for visiting! If this is your first time here...enjoy! I hope I can inspire you to be creative. I sure am enjoying using both my die-cutting machines. I was afraid I would not use them, but I am treating them fairly and sharing their time. Feeling super pleased!

Today is Die Cuttin' Diva day, which means a new challenge.

This week's challenge...
Something New, Something Old

This adorable lamb from PPbN/Zenware Designs is new to me and my Cameo. I downloaded it when it was a freebie about two weeks ago. It was easy to size, cut, and layer.

The card base is from Creative Cards, a Cricut cartridge that I have had for a while although I haven't used it much. The pattern paper, solid cardstock, Scrappy Moms  stamp, Spellbinders Lacey Circle, pink pearls, and craft threads are all old supplies.

Can't wait to see what you make and share at Die Cuttin' Diva this week. Be sure to include what item is new and what you used that is old.

The Sponsor...

Hope you will stop by and visit the other Design Team members projects. They are always impressive and their uniqueness speaks for itself.

Georgiana

Science Matters

Hello Crafty Friends!

Are you feeling a little nerdy? Do you love Science? If so this stamp set from Jaded Blossom may be just right for you. I made two different cards for two different occasions using the Science Matters stamps. I sure do like the sayings on these stamps. They are super FUN, especially if you are a teacher!

My daughter says this card is perfect for her or one of her friends.  They are a bit nerdy...in a good way! They are intelligent, compete with one another for good grades, and care about school.
This Nerdy Bear is from PPbN. It was easy to manipulate on Silhouette Designer Edition and a breeze to cut on my Cameo.
I added a brown bow, red button, and Martha Stewart baker's thread.
The inside of the card coordinates with outside cover. All the edges were inked in brown.

Current Challenges:

Since Science does Matter (It happens to be one of my favorite subjects to teach.)I had an urge to use another stamp and make one more. I made this Atomic card using Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge.
There are fabulous cuts on this cartridge. Joanns is having a sale on Cricut cartridges if anyone is interested...$19.99. I still love my Cricut, so I am going to check out if they have any I don't own.
I found these papers in my scrap box. GOAL ~ I need to try and use up some in 2014! The pattern paper is My Mind's Eye.

Here are the stamps. Are you bursting to get some too? Every time I visit the Jaded Blossom store my Wish List grows longer! It is good thing Valentine's Day isn't too far off!

Have a great week and enjoy your crafty time!
