Scrappy Moms Stamps Guest Designer, Day 3

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another project as January's Guest Designer at Scrappy Moms Stamps. I used the 2 Thumbs Up stamp set for both of these cards.

Do you remember when you were younger and you used your thumbprint to make all the wild and crazy animals? How about your thumb was black for a week because the ink wouldn't wash off? Now there is a stamp set, so you don't have black thumbs (or in this case pink or purple).
I used pastel colors since I am ready for Spring.
Other Materials:
pink, purple, and white card stock
Sizzix embossing folder
Blossom twine
purple gems
pink, purple, and black ink

Today's set...
Mix the stamps to create a bunny, a snail, a deer, or a bird.

Here is another using the same set...
This is a 5 X 5 card. I cut the bunny from the Animal Kingdom cartridge and adhered him with foam dots.
I used this sketch from Little Claire's except I had to shift my image, so I didn't cover the hearts on the pattern paper.

The other set used earlier in the week...
Be sure to stop by Scrappy Moms Stamps to purchase your set today!

Monsters for Valentines at Exploring Cricut

Hello Crafty Friends,

The weekend is always an enjoyable time except when you are sick ~ yes, I got that terrible cold that seems to be going around, but I am not going to let it ruin my time off. I have plans and I am going to stick with them. That means making more projects!

Today is my Exploring Cricut Day.
I have a special monster to share. This is not my son, but I am going to send it to him at college. I know he likes to receive mail while living away in the dorms. Who doesn't love to receive fun mail?!?!
I found this monster on the Bump in the Night cartridge. I was on eBay one day and I was bididng on some random cartridges (I really want Love you a Latte) and I actually won this one. I didn't really want it (but I wanted to win something!), so I didn't check on the status until the next day when I read an email. My daughter loves the monsters, so I decided to give it a try.
Okay..it is cute! I can see monsters for any occasion.
Another sentiment that would be perfect for Valentinees...I love you this much! Guess what is on the inside? : )

My son just started wearing bow ties (I think he picked that up from his fraternity brothers), so he should appreciate this one.
Materials:
pattern paper unknown
pink, brown, and white card stock
Bump in the Night Cricut cartridge ~ monster cut at 4", hearts 1", and Cute 1"
Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge ~ Oblong (p. 38) cut at 4 3/4" & 4 1/2"
white ribbon

Be sure to come back on Monday for the new Exploring Cricut challenge.

Little Scrap Pieces ~ Birthday

Hello Crafty Friends,

If you are here for the 11 Months 'til Christmas hop, please scroll down or click here. Yes, our group has started already, so there is no procrastinating to get our holiday projects done on time. Be sure to leave a comment if you want to join us this year!

Today brings another challenge at Little Scrap Pieces, and this week's theme is...Birthday. How perfect is that! Everyone needs to have birthday cards in their stash. I looked through my basket and I have maybe one or two left, and that is definitely not enough.

Here is my Design Team project..
no Cricut involved...just a stamp
The background paper was pretty and this large circular stamp fit perfectly. I selected the happy birthday stamp from Inkadinkado, but there were a few others that came with the set. The sayings are separate, so they are all interchangeable. I got my from TJMaxx at the holidays for $1.49. Yes! Only $1.49 for the set!
I used Tim Holtz ~ Barn Door Red ink.
I added small beige pearls (to every other flower) since they matched the hemp cord. A cream bow with red button tie the colors together.
Be sure to stop by Little Scrap Pieces for this week's birthday challenge.

11 Months 'til Christmas Hop

Hello Crafty Friends,

Can you believe we have decided to countdown to Christmas again!?!? Since we thought planning ahead was such a success and to reduce the stress this year, we are starting earlier. I am looking forward to creating Christmas cards, tags, and/or decor and being prepared. I still didn't have enough last year even with starting 6 months prior to the holidays, so I have to double up this time!

We are doing one aspect of the hop differently...monthly themes. WELL...I was just excited to start my Christmas projects that I forget to incorporate the theme..Snowbound! Let's just pretend there is snow everywhere! : )
I used non-traditional colors for this matching set...a card and a tag while using this sketch from Weekly Christmas Card Challenges.
I love presents no matter what size or color!
Materials:
Fancy Pants paper ~ St. Nick (Thank You Carissa)
burgandy and blue card stock
ivory embossed card stock
Sweethearts Cricut cartridge ~ present
blue gems
blue button
burgandy flower
ivory embroidery floss
burgandy ink

Here is the "11 Months Till Christmas Blog Hop" order:
9.) Nikki (Guest Designer): http://graphixanddesign.blogspot.ca/

Be sure to come back each month on the 25th for some Christmas spirit. Hop on over to Sally now for her Christmas Countdown project.

Whimsical Wednesday ~ "All About Love"

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is a Whimsical Designs on Wednesday!

I made a  special treat for my design team project...Test Tube Treat Boxes! I have been wanting to make these since Halloween, but thought they would be too difficult or I would need a special cutting file. Well, neither of them were true! They actually are super easy. The hardest part is not eating all the candy treats while making them. :)
I found this pictorial at Splitcoast Stampers and it worked! I only needed my Scor Pal, heavy duty cardstock, and decorative papers.
They are very versatile so you make them for every holiday using any colors. I used the Spellbinders ~ Lacey Circles and Whimsical Designs "Be Mine" stamp for this first set.
You can purchase the test tubes at Amazon, Overstock, or Martha Stewart.
This one is triple test tube holder. (There are directions for a double and quadruple test tube box also.) I used only one piece of  paper to create the box. This stamp is from the same Whimsical Designs "With Love" set.
Other Materials:
pink and red card stock
Martha Stewart test tubes
candy
pink, white, and Valentine ribbons
Spellbinders ~ Lacey Circles and Scallops
red and pink ink

Don't forget to stop by Pumpkin Spice for this Valentine kit, which includes the "With Love" or visit Whimsical Stamps to view all the sets available.
Be sure to stop by Whimsical Designs to see the other design team projects! There is a lot of love there. Can't wait to see what you create for this "With Love" challenge.

Until next time,
Georgiana

Edge Punch with Ribbon Challenge

Happy Diva Tuesday!

Today brings another challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas and what better way to celebrate than with a new project.

The Challenge this week...
Edge Punch with Ribbon

Here is my Design Team project...
I kept this card simple since the bow and butterfly dominated the space. I did not add a sentiment yet because I was not sure if I wanted Thank you or Thinking of you. What do you think? You choose and I will add the sentiment. Then I will re-post the card.
I used an EK small scallops with holes edge punch.
The butterfly's wings are fluttering with dimension.
Materials:
K&Company paper ~ Wild Saffron
Cars Decals Cricut cartridge ~ butterfly
yellow ribbon
Buttercup liquid pearls

This week's sponsor is...The Robin's Nest
$50.00 gift certificate

Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Whimsical Designs project. If you stop by Pumpkin Spice you can see a new Valentine kit using the "With Love" stamp set. I am enjoying this set!
Lots of other projects coming this week...Christmas Countdown Hop, another Scrappy Moms Stamps Guest Designer project, and Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday Challenges. Another week filled with a variety of creative projects. I am really looking forward to tomorrow's posting.  Be sure to come back often!

Until then,
Georgiana

Scrappy Moms Stamps Guest Designer, Day 2

Hello Crafty Freinds,

Today I am sharing another project as January's Guest Designer at Scrappy Moms Stamps. I am using the With all of My Heart! stamp set.
I used a pink doily as the focal point, but added a scalloped heart on foam dots. The sentiment is stamped in Studio G silver ink and a small twine bow fills in the space below nicely.
I just love my triple bows, especially topped with a pink button and a silver heart charm.
These are the new pink passion skittles, which are created by Carri @ Abusybee. They were just released today, so hurry and get some before they are gone!

Other Materials:
Chatter Box paper ~ Rosey Diamonds
cream card stock
pink heart doily by Royal Lace
Sweethearts Cricut cartridge ~ scalloped heart (p. 72) cut at 2"
cream ribbon
pink button
pink and cream twine
silver heart charm
