Design Team News...One Ends and Another Begins

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

It is going to be a great day. I have some wonderful news to share with you. I am joining the Exploring Cricut Design Team. I certainly love using my Cricut and have a difficult time creating without, so this team allows me to make all the projects I want and supports my addiction.

Today's project was created with my son in mind. He is finishing up his Eagle Scout's requirements for his Boy Scout Troop 113. He built a picnic area at a community elementary school...picinic tables from scratch, mulched area, and planted flowers for beautification. Lots of work, but he was able to get it accomplished.

Here is my project...
Materials:
Campin' Critters cartridge ~ base (4 3/4"), top layer (4 1/2"), eagle p. 42 (3")
Plantin Schooolbook cartridge ~ 113 cut at 1/2"
blue, brown, red, white, and green card stock

Steps...

I cut out all the pieces and worked in an assembly format to create 11 "Thank You" cards. I sure hope that is enough to get started. If not, I saved all my measurements so I can create a few more.

Well, with good news come sad news. This will be my last Design Team project for Made Especially for You with Ashley. My 3 month term is up and now it is time to give someone else the opportunity.

This Week's Challenge...

One World

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends,

Since today is Earth Day, I wanted to make a card to help celebrate. I try to due my part by recycling plastic, paper, aluminum, and glass. We have reduced our water consumption by turning off the sprinklers and we donate our clothes, so they can be reused. I am sure there is much more that we can do to conserve our natural resources, but it is a good start.

Here is today's project...
Materials:
Give a Hoot cartridge ~ raccoon ( p. 29) and sentiment (p.73)
K&Company paper ~ Edamame paper stack
white, blue, green, black, and brown cardstock
Tim Holtz embossing folder ~ wood grain
brown ink
green pearls

This cartridge is perfect for Earth Day and the upcoming Arbor Day. I highly recommend adding it to your wish list.
What is your favorite image?

Challenges:

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana
