Circular Card and An Update on Summer Goals

Good Afternoon Crafty Friends,

Glad you stopped by today. Thanks! I appreciate the kind words and have enjoyed visiting you too.

I hope you have had a great week and the weekend turns out to be even better. I know it is hot, but it sure beats all that rain we had from Storm Debby.

I worked on a new shape card using the Mojo Monday sketch. I like the shape, but it wants to keep rolling to the side rather than standing up.



I left the inside blank so an appropriate sentiment can be added.
Materials:
kraft paper and cream card stock
Heidi Grace paper ~ Daydream
Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge ~ circular card base (p. 38) cut at 4 3/4"
Birthday Cakes Cricut cartridge ~ butterfly (p. 41) cut at 2"
Serenade Cricut cartridge ~ branch cut at 1 1/4"

pink gems
Jolee's by You flowers


Challenge:
Mojo Monday
Here are the summer goals that I set on June 13th along with an update:

make shape cards  ~ I have made 7 so far (including today's circular card)! Yeah!






add stitching with the sewing machine ~ Not yet, but I am going to next week!

try some 3-D projects ~ I created a few sample gift boxes, but still want to make the Back to School treat bags. I already have a few ideas to make the first day back to school memorable!  

get published ~ I found a link that list current themes and dates for the Northridge Publishing Company, which include the Cricut Magazine and Cards Magazine. Projects are currently being accepted for the December 2012, January 2013, and February 2013 issues. Now all I need to do is create a few projects and submit for review.

hit 1000 followers  (still need 120 new crafty friends) ~ I have met a few crafty friends, but still need 102 more to reach 1000.

    Love your beautiful shaped card! I know what you mean about trying to get a decent photo on shaped cards!1 Have you tried using an easel...seems to help me. Congrats on setting your crafty goals and going for it! I just achieved one of mine (got published in the July Cricut Mag) and it really feels great! You should have no problem getting published with your fabulous work! And you are really close to that 1000 mark (I've still got a looong way to go on that one). Love all the shaped cards you've created as well as the 3D items...you are on your way to checking off all your goals...you go girl!!

    I love all of your shape card! Those are some of my favorites to make! Congrats on reaching many of the goals you have set! My only goal was to improve on techniques...Congrats once again :)

    Congrats on achieving your goals.I started one of mine which was to work or to get to know my gypsy...I am having a blast with it.I started already making shaped cards but that will be in a couple of days.Can't wait to see more of your other goals achieved.Enjoy your 4th of July weekend!

    Oooh, I love your different shaped card designs! I really love how you took a picture of the Mojo Monday on the Grass...I'm too lazy to step outside and our grass isn't as pretty. :) So luckily I have the Ikea pretend looking wood grain desk with lovely light coming through my window to get that earthy background. I also really like your orange & white flower circle card. Love the dimensions. It's very difficult to stray away from flowers-they can be used in almost all occasions. :) Thank you stopping by my blog! Happy scrappin'!

    Fabulous card!!! I love the different papers you used. The shape is great, too. So glad your goals are being met. The only one I have for this summer is to get my crafty room better organized and to plurge some older unused stuff. I will take a week of vacation to get this one done!! :)

    I have to say I LOVE that you are setting goals! Well the shape card goal you have TOTALLY got that goal accomplished! LOVE the sahpe of this one and the PRETTY papers! ALL the shape cards are just FABULOUS!
